Cycle Safety in Primary Schools

Posted by StreetSafe on April 24, 2009

A project run by Police Community Support Officer Helen Madden promoting cycle safety involving practical and theoretical instruction ensured that all children in years 5/6 at Low Furness School, Great Urswick, Ulverston had their cycles security marked and front/rear lights fitted.

The project was greatly assisted with a contribution from the StreetSafe Community Fund.  Year 6 children were also supplied with a cycle lock each.  All equipment was provided by Gills Cycles, Ulverston.
