Posted by StreetSafe on March 8, 2010

If you are not aware the 1980/90’s hit band It Bites have re recorded there massive hit “Calling All The Heroes” with friends from the bands Marillion, Asia and King Crimson with all proceeds from the sales going to the Floods Relief fund. It is released as a single download at 99p & as a Video at £1.89. The video has news footage from the floods showing a few officers and is dedicated to the memory of our colleague Bill Barker – a genuine hero. Both are available from itunes & Amazon & the links are below:-

If you would like to try before you buy then the video has been posted on YouTube on the following link

But please please please – although this one is free, if you like it, buy it, it’s a great song for less than a pound or two depending on whether you buy the single or the video, and it’s all for local Cumbria relief, by a Cumbrian band – (It Bites are originally from Egremont & you may not be aware but Marillion’s lead singer Steve Hogarth, on the video singing “Everyone knew why the calm had been” is originally a Kendal lad)
