Posted by StreetSafe on July 8, 2011

The next pre-planned Streetsafe Operation is to be held on Wednesday 20th July 2011.
For this Operation we will be consulting with residents in Askam-in-Furness
Briefing at 4pm in Rankin Hall, Duke Street, Askam, LA16 7AE and as usual, tea/coffee available from 330pm.
This location has been requested by Angela Knowles, Rural Projects Officer, Area Support, CCC.
Hot de-brief will be approximately 6/630pm

The new event is a streetsafe community tidy up working with our new partners Natural England. It has been agreed that we will assist Natural England and Morcambe Bay Partnership tidy up the North Scale Nature reserve which is a National protected site. This event will take place on Tuesday 30th August 2011. Volunteers are asked to meet at Earnse Bay car park at 9am. The aim is to undertake all litter collection within the NNR, including from the beach area (shingle) and also from the sand dune areas that are close to the shingle.
As this is the school holiday time we are looking for as many volunteers as possible to help us with this event so please feel free to share the email / details.
Thank you for your continuing support and assistance.
